Cawthron Institute is delighted to host Aotearoa New Zealand’s inaugural symposium on aquatic diseases.
This symposium aims to empower shared aspirations for the advancement of aquatic health, biosecurity, and animal welfare. We are excited to bring people together for a two-day in-person hui with inspirational speakers, thought-provoking discussions, and networking opportunities.
Our symposium considers the breadth of aquatic disease research in New Zealand and the Pacific. This includes evaluating the rapidly changing landscape in aquatic disease emergence, the role of Mātauranga Māori, and how our country will look to safeguard our people, environment, wildlife, and seafood industries.
