"One of a kind, amazing man. Did us a huge favor showing up at the premiere of Lilyhammer, a show nobody ever heard of, which was the very first show for a company nobody ever heard of called Netflix." - SVZ

Tony Bennett was the one of the most important interpreters of American popular song during the mid to late 20th century. He championed songwriters who might otherwise have remained unknown to many millions of music fans.

His was a unique voice that made the transition from the era of Jazz into the age of Pop. I will always be grateful for his outstanding contribution to the art of contemporary music. He was a joy to work with. His energy and enthusiasm for the material he was performing was infectious.

He was also one of the nicest human beings I’ve ever known.

When I was in my teens, Tony’s records were my favorites and I took them with me wherever I traveled. We had fun singing together later, but it always seemed to be in his key. My favorite time was when I sang for him at the Friar’s Club Tribute in 1994, and I got him up to sing ‘Maybe This Time’ as a duet, but this time it was in my key. He still managed to hit those high notes! I’ll miss you Tony.

Tony Bennett is one of the greatest vocalists, storytellers and interpreters of all time. To say he was an important part of who I became is an understatement. My grandpa was constantly playing Tony Bennett records when I was growing up, and it was the honor of a lifetime to learn from him. Having my hero take me under his wing was one of the greatest moments of my life and my career. How did I get so lucky to kneel at the feet of the master for 2 decades?

Tony, I’ll never stop learning from you, and I promise you I’ll do my best to keep the music we cherish alive. I love you.

Michael Buble

#TonyBennet was the last of the old-school crooners …but, without a doubt, the most soulful of them all…he continued to be musically progressive into his later years, and I was fortunate to have heard him perform live and sit next to him on a flight and talk about his passion for painting. He and his music will endure 🕊️

Tony Bennett was as lovely as he was talented. Tony was a simply fabulous performer who moi was deeply honored to duet with several times. I’ll miss his wonderful voice, his marvelous smile, and his unforgettable charm.
