Studio was originally built as early as 1914 and was after that redeveloped and reopened as the Vogue theatre in 1939!
Studio has been remodeled extensively since, from a showroom, to Para Rubber, Don’t Tell Mama’s, The Staircase, The Case and finally the great Studio we know and love since 2008 till now!!
Having hosted some of New Zealand’s & the world’s biggest stars, Studio has for years been the most distinctive venue for New Zealand artists and performers to connect with the hearts and souls of their fellow Kiwis and friends over the world.
Evolving with the times, management at Studio have undertaken years of in-depth planning and designing, in order to fully refurbish, refit and reinvigorate this landmark of today. By engaging some of the top minds within the entertainment industry to understand their current needs, we have ensured that Studio is prepared to keep its doors open and house the future of New Zealand’s ever growing live entertainment scene and performers. While much has been done to give this iconic venue a place in the future, you can be sure that nothing has been forgotten about the history that has defined the Studio as Auckland’s premier event destination.
